TUG Partnership Spotlight: SELLARS (Clean Task)

Sellars Absorbent Materials was founded in 1985 in Milwaukee by John Sellars, who began designing innovative absorbent solutions in his garage as a cleaner, more efficient alternative to messy “kitty litter” used on factory floors. His early products, including absorbent mats and socks, helped customers manage leaks, drips, and spills effectively.

Today, Sellars employs more than 200 people and operates three manufacturing plants and four distribution centers. Holding 20 U.S. and 30 international patents, the company is known for its proprietary technology that produces high-performing wiping and absorbent products using recycled materials. As part of its process, Sellars recycles select production waste into absorbent materials, supporting both top-tier performance and responsible manufacturing.

Their Experience with TUG

Sellars has been a TUG supplier for four years. Being a TUG supplier has created valuable opportunities to strengthen distributor partnerships and expand visibility across key markets. The TUG network has helped Sellars connect with members, gain insights into evolving distributor needs, and grow its market presence through meaningful collaboration. Sellars deeply appreciates the ability to engage directly with TUG members and support them with high-performance products, market insights, and responsive service.
