For example, a major manufacturer unexpectedly changed its business model. As a result, South Central Industries risked losing access to critical products. However, TUG quickly stepped in and worked with its supplier network to guide the organization through the transition. Because of that support, South Central Industries continued serving customers and even expanded that part of its business.

Before joining TUG, Tina carefully compared several buying groups. After four years of membership, she says TUG has continued to deliver value. Tina says TUG has proven to be the right group purchasing organization for South Central Industries because of its trusted suppliers, buying power, and member support. In addition to educational conferences, she values the trusted supplier relationships and the willingness of other members to help when challenges arise.
